Kristy Milliken.

May 4th, 2010 | No Comments

If like me, your completely broke, semi-bored and always on the hunt for something to do other than get drunk on cheap skinless wine because there’s no waves! The National Grid Gallery is having Kristy Milliken up from Melbourne for her ‘A life slowed down for the observer’ Exhibition.

Plastic Toy Cameras.

Analogue celebrates medium format film photography – a collection of traditionally enlarged Black and White images taken with vintage and toy cameras by three Australian based fine art photographers. (Melissa Ramirez, Dax Pointon and Stuart Frossell)

Analogue intends to show people the amazing world of film photography with images that defy digital commercial photography. It’s aim is to prove that film is still a relevant style of photography and to help keep the film photography and darkroom techniques alive as a form of collectible and fine art.

Opens FRIDAY 26th MARCH, 2010 from 6pm to 9pm

at The National Grid Gallery
24 Chard Road Brookvale 2100

Exhibition is open until 30th April.

The hottest ticket in town this weekend.

Jessica Hart, need i say more?

If it wasn’t for the guys at Monster Children i wouldn’t know about this blog. If i hadn’t lost my license, i wouldn’t be on the god damn looser-cruiser going over my phone usage allowance every month. So i should really be thankful that i did loose my license. If the blogs not enough you can just delete the blog part from below to get your fix. Is that creepy?

Our very good friends at Division, Mona Vale, are having a giant sale this weekend. Get down there for some fresh threads, a new board or wettie and good times.

Big Day Out, just round the corner.

The best of a weak line-up as far as im concerned. Two thirds of the list, have been out here in the last 2 years for somewhat similar festivals and side’ies. Eat shit Muse, Dead Prez, Sasha and early Dizzee.

TM’s (Trent Mitchell) first solo show.

view

Just a little reminder that this Friday the 18th Trent’s first ever solo show is on in
Mona Vale. It kicks off at 6pm and wraps up around 9pm.

All the pieces will be up for sale and all of them are one-off works. Hope to you can
come have a look and enjoy the night.

Alternatively if its too hard to come on the Friday, He also has a joint show on Thursday
17th in Darlinghurst. For some this may be a better option?

Lifelounge and Boag’s are supporting 6 emerging photographers in a joint show, with the
project eventually producing a special edition book/magazine.

It should be pretty interesting given the diverse range of subjects and styles on show.

Get to one of them at least!
